(Senior) Hardware Certification Engineer (f/m/d)

Position Description

We are currently seeking an experienced (Senior) Hardware Certification Engineer that will be responsible for testing and certifying hardware products to ensure compliance with our software, internal partner policies and our quality benchmarks.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to perform tests related to functionality and performance of our integrated solutions, and other relevant certifications required for product launch in various markets. The engineer will oversee the certification process from the early stages of development through final approval, ensuring that all documentation, test reports, and certifications are properly obtained and maintained.

In this role, you will:

Develop, implement and maintain test plans to validate hardware products against applicable standards
Perform and manage hardware testing, including setting up and maintaining an adequate test lab environment that allows procedures such as safely testing hardware targeting foreign markets
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and certifications
Collaborate with internal teams to review and approve technical documentation for certification processes
Research and investigate hardware validation methods to be implemented as part of our device certification process
Provide technical support to internal teams regarding certification processes and requirements
Identify areas for process improvements and suggest changes to improve product compliance timelines and reduce certification costs

What you will need to succeed:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge of wireless standards, protocols and video and audio codecs
Electronic component knowledge (e.g., USB controller, display panel)
Hands-on experience with automated testing and tools
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and technical documentation capabilities
Fluent English and excellent communication skills
